Linyi was listed in China’s top 100 foreign trade cities in 2020, an official result revealed by General Administration of Customs on October 20.
In addition to Linyi, other 11 cities were also on the list of China’s top 100 foreign trade cities in 2020, ranking first in the country, according to the General Administration of Customs. Among the 12 cities on the list, Qingdao ranks 11th in China, followed by Weihai, Dongying, Yantai, Weifang, Zibo, Jinan, Heze, Binzhou, Liaocheng, Linyi and Rizhao.
The evaluation criteria of the top 100 trade cities include 25 indicators on competitiveness of foreign trade level, structural competitiveness, efficiency competitiveness, development competitiveness and potential competitiveness.
According to statistics from Jinan Customs and Qingdao Customs, the total value of imports and exports in Shandong province in the first three quarters of 2021 was 2.12 trillion yuan, up 36.8% over the same period last year and 41.9% over the same period in 2019. Separately, exports reached 1.23 trillion yuan, up 39.3% over the same period last year and 52.0% over the same period of 2019, and imports reached 885.46 billion yuan, up 33.4% over the same period last year and 29.8% over the same period in 2019. The growth rates of total import and export volume, export volume, and import volume are all higher than the national average level, and the growth rates rank first among the top six major foreign trade provinces and cities.
