Always use 1.6 part clean water to 1 parts powder by weight. This produces the optimal paste consistency for gap-filling and void repair. Too much water weakens the bond and increases shrinkage; too little makes the paste unworkable.
Add 1 part clean water to your mixing container first. Add 3 parts powder and stir vigorously until smooth and completely lump-free. Mix only what you need for the immediate session.
Mix in clean water — mineral residue affects set timeRemove dust, oil, loose fibres, and any unstable material from the void or gap. The paste must bond to clean, solid substrate to develop full adhesion strength.
Blow or vacuum dust from deep voids before fillingPress the paste firmly into the void to eliminate air pockets. Apply slightly proud of the surface — the paste shrinks marginally as it dries. Smooth as much as possible before curing.
