Sliced Cut White Recon Veneer

Reconstituted veneer — also called engineered veneer or recon veneer — is manufactured rather than simply cut from a log. Wood fibres are peeled, processed, dyed to a precise target colour, laminated into a block, and then sliced to produce veneer sheets with a consistent, repeatable appearance.

The Product

What Is Reconstituted (Recon) Veneer — and Why Does It Matter?

Reconstituted veneer — also called engineered veneer or recon veneer — is manufactured rather than simply cut from a log. Wood fibres are peeled, processed, dyed to a precise target colour, laminated into a block, and then sliced to produce veneer sheets with a consistent, repeatable appearance.

The result eliminates the natural variation inherent in any real wood veneer — colour differences between sheets, grain irregularities, occasional defects — while preserving the look and feel of real wood. For production operations requiring hundreds or thousands of panels with identical appearance, recon veneer solves the matching problem that natural veneer creates.

1

Wood Selection & Processing

Base wood is selected, peeled, and processed to remove natural colour variation and defects.

2

Precision Dyeing

The wood is dyed to the target colour — in this case, white — ensuring uniform colour penetration throughout the material.

3

Lamination into Block

Dyed wood sheets are laminated together under heat and pressure to form a solid engineered block with a precise grain orientation.

4

Sliced to Veneer

The block is sliced to produce veneer sheets — each with a straight, uniform, controlled grain pattern. Every sheet from the block is nearly identical.

Key Features

Why White Recon Veneer Is the Right Choice

Uniform, Flawless Appearance

Consistent white colour and straight even grain across every sheet — no knots, no discolouration, no colour drift between panels. Grade A guarantees a perfectly clean surface.

Perfect Panel-to-Panel Match

Because the veneer is manufactured rather than cut from natural logs, every sheet in a production run matches every other. Eliminates colour-matching issues on large furniture batches.

✂️

Easy to Apply & Laminate

Flat, smooth surface adheres reliably to plywood, MDF, blockboard, and other substrates. Consistent thickness (±0.03mm) ensures even glue-line performance across automated lamination.

Low Formaldehyde Emission

Designed for indoor air quality — low formaldehyde emission levels make this veneer safe for residential furniture, school interiors, and hospitality environments.

Precision Thickness

±0.03mm tolerance across the full 0.15mm to 0.9mm thickness range — essential for consistent press results and even finish quality across production runs.

Versatile Finishability

The white surface accepts paint, lacquer, stain (for tinted effects), and UV coating. The uniform tone provides the cleanest possible base for paint-grade applications.

Grade Selection

Grade A and Grade B — Understanding the Difference

Both grades share the same uniform white colour and recon manufacturing process. Grade determines the permitted level of surface character.

A
Grade A — Premium Clear
Zero defects · Completely uniform surface
Knots None permitted
Discolouration None permitted
Surface splits None permitted
Colour uniformity 100% consistent
Best ApplicationsHigh-end furniture · Premium laminated panels · Luxury interior fit-out · Visible surfaces requiring perfection
B
Grade B — Standard Grade
Minor character permitted · Budget-friendly
Sound knots Up to 15mm
Black knots Tiny, up to 6mm
Discolouration Up to 5% of surface
Colour uniformity Mostly consistent
Best ApplicationsStandard furniture production · Painted surfaces · Cabinet interiors · Commercial panels · Budget applications

Applications

Where White Recon Veneer Is Specified

Furniture Manufacturing

Tables, cabinets, shelving, and wardrobes requiring a clean, consistent white surface across large production runs — no colour-matching issues between components.

Interior & Exterior Decoration

Wall panels, ceiling boards, and decorative surfaces in homes, hotels, restaurants, and commercial spaces where a uniform white aesthetic is specified.

Laminated Panels

Decorative top layer for plywood, MDF, and blockboard — used in furniture components, door blanks, and general panel production across the furniture industry.

Doors

Interior door skins requiring a consistent, paint-ready or lacquer-ready white surface — the uniform Grade A face eliminates grain show-through under opaque finishes.

Flooring

Decorative top layer for engineered flooring where a white or light-toned uniform surface is required across the full floor installation.

Hospitality & Commercial

Hotels, restaurants, retail interiors, and offices where large quantities of panels must match perfectly and be installed quickly without individual colour selection.

Sheet Sizes

Standard Sizes — Plus Custom on Request

Six standard sizes cover the full range of production requirements. Large-format 6'×10' sheets eliminate seam lines on full-height wall panels and oversized furniture.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What is reconstituted (recon) veneer?
Reconstituted veneer is manufactured by processing natural wood, dyeing it to a precise colour, laminating the pieces into a block, and slicing the block into veneer sheets. This engineered process produces sheets with a consistent, controlled appearance — uniform colour and grain pattern across every sheet — eliminating the natural variation found in conventional veneer cut directly from logs.
What is the difference between Grade A and Grade B white recon veneer?
Grade A is completely free from knots, discolouration, and surface defects — a perfectly uniform white surface for premium applications. Grade B allows small sound knots up to 15mm, tiny black knots up to 6mm, and minor discolouration on up to 5% of the surface. Grade B is suitable for painted surfaces, cabinet interiors, and applications where minor variation is acceptable or the face will be covered.
Why choose recon veneer over natural white wood veneer?
Natural white veneers (birch, maple) vary between sheets and between production batches — colour differences, grain variations, and occasional defects require hand-selection and matching time. White recon veneer eliminates this entirely: every sheet matches every other sheet in colour and grain, making it ideal for large production runs, commercial fit-out projects, and any application where hundreds of panels must look identical without matching labour.
What thickness should I choose for white recon veneer?
0.15–0.2mm suits automated flat-panel lamination lines where uniform pressure is applied across the full panel. 0.3mm is the most popular choice for furniture and interior panels — good balance of workability and durability. 0.5mm is preferred for door production and wall panels where more surface thickness is needed. 0.6–0.9mm offers maximum durability for high-traffic or multi-sand applications. All thicknesses have ±0.03mm tolerance.
Is white recon veneer safe for indoor use?
Yes. Our white recon veneer is produced with low formaldehyde emissions, meeting indoor air quality standards for residential, commercial, and hospitality applications. Moisture content is maintained at or below 18% for dimensional stability. It is suitable for furniture, cabinetry, wall panels, and all indoor applications where occupant health is a consideration.
What is the minimum order and lead time?
Minimum order quantity is 1 × 20' GP container. Orders ship within 15 days of receiving a deposit or confirmed L/C from Qingdao, China. Monthly supply capacity is 1,500 cubic meters for consistent large-volume supply. Payment is accepted by T/T or 100% irrevocable L/C at sight.
