The world's most trusted light-coloured face veneer — bright Scandinavian white, flawless grain, exceptional strength-to-weight ratio. Available in 0.15mm to 0.9mm for furniture, interiors, laser cutting, yacht fit-out and instrument manufacturing.

Why Baltic Birch
Bright creamy-white with near-zero sheet-to-sheet variation
Tight, uniform grain — takes stain beautifully and evenly
Perfect for minimalist, contemporary and Nordic interiors
Whole-piece face — no seam lines across the panel
Lighter than solid birch at the same gauge, stronger than most alternatives
Excellent screw-holding and impact resistance
Minimal warping or twisting on large panel formats
Ideal for yacht and aircraft interiors where weight matters
Laser, CNC, table saw, utility knife — all produce clean edges
Tight grain eliminates tear-out in CNC routing
Void-free face essential for intricate laser cutting
Bonds with PVA, epoxy, contact or UF adhesive
Northern European responsibly managed forest origin
Birch matures in 30–40 years — rapidly renewable

Technical Specifications

Grade Selection
Grade determines face quality and influences project cost. Match your grade to the application's visibility requirement and finish type.
Completely knot-free, perfectly uniform white face. No visible defects, discolouration, or grain deviation. What you see on one sheet matches the next.
Allows small, tight sound knots (typically under 15mm) and minor natural character variation. Serviceable, attractive face suitable for a wide range of applications.
Natural character including larger knots and colour variation. Fully sound and structural. Best value where face appearance is secondary to performance.
Drawer sides, cabinet backs, table tops, bent laminations. The consistent white tone elevates every piece — no grain-matching issues across components.
Wall panels, ceiling features, acoustic panels. Large-format sheets up to 6×10 ft eliminate seam lines across wide surfaces.
The strength-to-weight ratio is exceptional — critical in marine and vehicle applications where every kilogram counts.
Doors, stair treads, mouldings. Stable, consistent, and dimensionally predictable across large production runs.
The void-free, tight-grain face produces clean edges with minimal char. Grade C at 0.3–0.6mm is the specification for professional laser work.
Strong, lightweight, and visually beautiful without any finish — the natural white birch surface is the product.
Drum shells, guitar bodies, speaker cabinets — consistent density and acoustic reflectivity make birch the preferred choice.
Grade C and D+ for commercial and premium plywood production. Consistent colour across full bundles.
Sustainability
Baltic birch reaches harvestable maturity in 30–40 years — roughly half the time of most temperate hardwoods and a fraction of tropical species.
Rotary cutting extracts far more usable veneer per log than sawing solid boards — reducing the number of trees needed for the same output area.
FSC certified supply is available with full chain-of-custody documentation. Suitable for LEED, BREEAM, and ESG procurement requirements. Specify FSC on your enquiry.
Compared to tropical hardwood veneers shipped from equatorial regions, Northern European birch has a significantly lower transport carbon footprint for European and Asian markets.
All origin regions operate under national and EU sustainable forestry frameworks. FSC certified supply with third-party verification available on request.
Also Available
Beyond Baltic birch, we supply a full range of hardwood and tropical face veneers to meet any design specification.
