Kraft-paper, water-activated veneer tape engineered for furniture manufacturers, veneer processors, and architectural panel producers across the US and Europe. Perforated and non-perforated variants. Low MOQ. 3–7 day lead time.
Veneer edge failures rarely announce themselves — they accumulate quietly through humidity cycles, handling stress, and misaligned seams, until they appear as defects in the finished product. The right tape prevents all of it, upstream.

Core performance
Water-activated adhesive sets firm and dries clean. Sands off without glue marks — critical for high-end furniture and visible veneer faces.
As the tape dries it shrinks, pulling veneer edges together. The result is a tight, aligned joint with minimal visible seam on the finished panel.
Maintains edge integrity across humidity swings, temperature variation, storage, and international shipping — suitable for export furniture.
Non-toxic kraft paper with water-based adhesive. Non-corrosive and operator-safe. Meets US and EU woodworking and sustainability standards.

Buying guide
Not all veneer projects have the same requirements. Use this guide to match tape specification to your production conditions.
Environment
Specify waterproof veneer tape to prevent edge swelling in humid climates or tropical export destinations.
Process
Select heat-resistant options designed to maintain bond integrity during hot-press lamination cycles.
Perforation
Perforated tape allows adhesive to penetrate through the joint — recommended for demanding splicing and core assembly work.
Perforation
Non-perforated tape provides clean edge sealing and surface protection — preferred for rotary-cut veneer to prevent splitting.
Adhesive
Water-activated adhesive for production use — sets firmly and holds through sanding, machining, and finishing.
Adhesive
Pressure-sensitive removable adhesive for positioning, alignment, and light-duty applications that require clean removal.
Where it's used
01 · Furniture
Seals exposed veneer edges on panels, tabletops, and cabinet doors. Prevents cracking and extends product lifespan.
02 · Veneer
Holds sheets during splicing, trimming, sanding, and finishing. Ensures accurate edge alignment on precision work.
03 · Architecture
Clean edges for decorative wall panels, ceilings, doors, and interior millwork with long-term durability.
04 · Plywood
Veneer repair, splicing, core patching, and panel assembly. Improves yield, bond strength, and panel quality.

Application guide
Ensure edges are clean, dry, and free of dust. For splicing work, confirm veneer sheets are correctly aligned before taping.
Lightly moisten the adhesive side with a damp sponge, wet roller, or water dispenser. Avoid over-wetting — a light, even moisture application is sufficient.
Position tape on the veneer edge or seam and press firmly with a roller or hand tool. Ensure full contact with no air pockets along the length of the joint.
Allow to dry fully. The tape naturally shrinks as it dries, pulling seams tight. Once dry, sand away cleanly — no adhesive residue will remain on the veneer surface.

Perforated veneer tape has small holes that allow adhesive to penetrate through the tape into the joint, creating a stronger mechanical bond — ideal for veneer splicing and core assembly under press. Non-perforated tape provides a continuous surface barrier, best suited for edge sealing and protecting rotary-cut veneer from splitting during handling and processing.
For rotary-cut veneer, non-perforated tape in 8–12 mm widths is recommended to prevent splitting along the wider grain. For sliced veneer (quarter or flat sliced), 7–9 mm tape is typically sufficient. Wider tape provides more coverage for thicker or more fragile veneer edges.
Yes, provided you specify our waterproof veneer tape variant. Standard kraft tape performs well under moderate humidity, but for export furniture destined for tropical or coastal climates, waterproof tape is recommended to prevent moisture penetration and edge swelling over time.
We maintain a low MOQ policy to serve both large furniture factories and smaller woodworking operations. Free samples are available before any commitment to a production order. Contact us for current MOQ details and volume pricing.
Veneer edge sealing tape is a kraft-paper process tape applied during production — it reinforces joints, prevents splitting, and is sanded or removed after pressing and finishing. Edge banding is a decorative finish material (PVC, ABS, or real wood) applied to panel edges as the final visible surface treatment. They serve different stages of the manufacturing process and are not interchangeable.
